Bates Motel Has Started Production And Here’s What Else Is New
Bates Motel has been missing from our television long enough for us to be going around and seeking all the spoilers we can find on the upcoming 10 episode long, third season of the show. As for now, we know the production has begun and the show’s next season is set to release in 2015.
The current buzz, as brought forth by TVLine, is that Dylan is fated to acquire a love interest in this season. Provided that his love life hasn’t gone too smooth in the first two seasons, we hope there is something great coming along for him in this one. In the first season, we saw Dylan showing some vague interest in Emma and then we saw Norman’s crush, Bradley, crushing on Dylan. In the second season, things went up a notch as we saw Dylan and Jodi hit it off until she was murdered in the finale episode.
Even though we have Nicola Pletz coming back as Bradley in the third season, news reports say that casting process has begun to select an all new love interest for Dylan. An attractive lady, named Annika Johnson, with a laid back attitude and a guilty conscience is apparently the one being considered an the appropriate companion for Dylan.
Other than that, there are high hopes to encounter the ex-characters of Bates Motel once again. We will surely have the pleasure of viewing the unresolved issues between Norma and her brother Caleb as Kerry Ehrin puts it, “There’s a great deal of unfinished story in the relationship of Caleb to the Bates family. You can’t just sweep something like their twisted history under a rug and hope it will go away. You can be sure when he reappears in their lives it will test the boundaries of everything Norma and Dylan have worked so hard for.” 
Kerry further spoke about Norma’s future ventures and says, “That’s a little bit of an issue that we have to address and see how that’s going to work. What’s going to happen with Norma’s dream of running this motel, living there happily with her kid, when she’s on the outs now with the very people who got her inside the city council? All that stuff has to be played out, so there are actually quite a lot of open doors that we want to continue.”
Moreover, we are going to enjoy the presence of Bradley in this third season. There are going to be more bad guys too. Now with the decease of Gil, Nick, Zane and Jody, we are in crisis of villains in White Pine Bay but the upcoming season will introduce more thrill with the addition of a firearms dealer named Chick Hogan, Romero’s former buddy, Bob Paris and a ‘fixed’ called Adrian.
We simply cannot wait for the new season to take over. The premiere dates seem so far away and it has already been long enough since the awesome drama has been missing from our TVs. As put by David McKillop, the executive VP & GM of A&E, “The incredible writing team and talented ‘Bates Motel’ cast has made this series one of the most compelling original dramas on television. The brilliant twists and turns of the past two seasons keep its loyal fanbase coming back for more. We are so proud of the show.”
