Grimm Season 5 Updates

grimm (1)

The fourth season of Grimm had just ended and fans and viewers of the show have witness the demise of Juliette. Speculations of her return from dead have circulated but none of these have been confirmed by the creators of the show.

On the episode finale of the fourth season of Grimm, Nick Burkhardt (played by David Giuntoli) had a face to face encounter with his ex-girlfriend, Juliette Silverton (played by Bitsie Tulloch) after confronting her on what she did to her mother. Nick had the intentions of killing her, but during chokehold on Juliette, he couldn’t muster the will to kill her himself despite all of her provocations. Then appears, Trubel Rubel (played by Jacqueline Toboni), who aims at Juliette and ended up killing her.

Though it was easy to hate Juliette during the latter part of the fourth season, fans are still hoping that Juliette will be coming back to life for season five. That would not be the first time a character seemingly dies and then comes back to return to the next season. The same has happened to Captain Sean Renard in the third season of Grimm.

On the other hand, there are also fans who seem to be delighted with the death of Juliette and are excited to move forward with a possible new romantic interest with Nick. Fans are eager to see him be matched up with Adalind Schade (played by Claire Coffee), who is already carrying his child.

But upon inquiry about he likelihood of Nick and Adalind getting together, Grimm Showrunners David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf did not confirm it and their answers were very vague.

“Well, something’s gotta happen, one way or the other. He’s gotta be responsible for the child.” Greenwalt stated, as Kouf added, “He’s got a child and he’s got to step up at some point. He knows he can’t abandon his child. He was abandoned.”

Fans are also watching out for the consequences of Trubel shooting the crossbow at Juliette; of how it will affect her relationship with Nick. It would be an interesting scene to watch a Grimm vs Grimm battle.

In an interview with TV Line, Greenwalt seems to have hinted that Nick would end up understanding that Trubel just did what she had to do, given that she had no choice, as he stated, “Well, Trubel did what she had to do. What was the choice? Let Juliette kill Nick?”

“And hold that against her? No. That’s my personal feeling: He’s gotta know, being a Grimm, that she had no choice if he were to survive.” Kouf also added.

So what can fans and viewers of the show expect in its upcoming season this fall?

“It’s (Juliette’s death) going to change the show’s course. I think it’s going to be even darker still in a way. You know, it’s not going to be the same Grimm.” Greenwalt says to Hollywood Reporter.

Fans will have to wait and see until fall for fifth season of Grimm to know what the creators meant when they said it will course on a darker route.
