Potential Romantic Comedy On NBC
Bates Motel Show runners, Kerry Ehrin and Freddie Highmore have jointly taken up a new challenge. They have teamed up to come up with a romantic comedy script and will be set up at NBC, as revealed by The Hollywood Reporter.
So far we have come to know that it will be a rom-com series containing thirty minutes long episodes and si set in the world of venture capitalism. The show has been officially described as “the intimate relationship between an overly emotional but talented female executive and her ambitious and eccentric young British assistant.” NBC has shown a green light by providing a script commitment to the venture. Freddie Highmore is likely to be producing and has co-written the pilot episode of the, still unnamed, project. Whether Highmore will be starring in the series or not, remains to be disclosed. The idea of the show, apparently, dropped on the duo at the Critics’ Choice Awards 2014. This will be Highmore’s first time at writing a pilot script.
Currently Freddie Highmore is starring in Bates Motel, which also casts Vera Farmiga, Olivia Cooke, Nestor Carbonell, Max Thieriot and other great actors. Bates Motel is the prequel of Alfred Hitchcock’s Psych, and is produced by Universal Television for A&E Network with executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin.
