Several days after the good news of the return of Kathy Bates to the next installment of the American Horror Story, more good news has resurfaced. The anthology series creator, Ryan Murphy, has officially announced that Sarah Paulson will be returning to the show as well. He made this announcement via Twitter post, saying, “Sarah Paulson is checking into ‘Hotel.’ And this season, she’s the baddest bad girl of them all. #AHSSeason5.” It has been rumoured that Kathy Bates and Sarah Paulson will be replacing the lead role of Jessica Lange in the show.
Sarah Paulson expresses much exhilaration and confirms the exciting announcement by posting “I [am] so f-keeeen HAPPY to be able to finally tell you IM BAAAAAACK!! #AHSHotel!” on Twitter.
It appears as if actress Sarah Paulson will have a great role in the next season of the show. Fans surely are celebrating and are filled with so much excitement with this recent announcement. Sarah Paulson has been part of every season of the American Horror Story. She has been nominated for two Emmys for her roles on the show, particularly in the Asylum and Coven. Her most recent role was the two headed Bette/Dot in the show’s latest installment entitled Freak Show.
This news a quite a bit of a surprise for some since she is also stars as prosecutor named Marcia Clark in another Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk anthology series, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson. It appears that she will have very busy schedule since she will be starring in both shows.
“My focus will always be on American Horror Story for as long as he’ll have me,” Paulson told The Hollywood Reporter late last December, at the forefront of her American Crime Story casting. “I have never felt so completely seen by another director or producer or person before in terms of his willingness time and time again to give me something to do that I didn’t even think I was capable of doing. I don’t know why in the world I’d want to go elsewhere when I’m getting the best deal in town. I absolutely want to do season five.”
It has already been announced last month that series regular, Jessica Lange will no longer take part in the anthology series. However, Sarah Pauslon will still be joining the star studded cast which includes Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Kathy Bates, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley, and Cheyenne Jackson.
Evan Peters, a series regular, still has not yet confirmed whether he will be part of the fifth season of the hit show.. However, he is very much interested in returning back to the series.
More and more good news has been surfacing about the fifth season of the show. Fans are definitely on the edge of the seats as they wait for more. American Horror Story: Hotel will commence shooting this summer in LA and is set to debut on FX this fall. The fifth season will comprise of 13 episodes.
