Sleepy Hollow’s season 3 has been officially renewed by Fox but there will major changes to the upcoming season. Reports say the fans will see less of Ichabod Crane’s family. The network took in executive producer Clifton Campbell as its new showrunner.
“Sleepy Hollow is truly inventive television. I had the pleasure of working with Clifton on both The Glades and White Collar,” Fox Entertainment President David Madden told Entertainment Weekly. “He is an excellent producer, and we can’t wait to see what this team has in store for Season 3.”
Campbell took in the shoes of Mark Goffman, who was showrunner for Sleepy Hollow’s first and second second season.

Apart from facing new challenges, the lead characters may also build up a love interest for each other as they get even more engrossed in resolving mysteries in the forthcoming sequel.
A press release by the cable network Fox discloses that the supernatural drama will evovle around how the relationship amid the two witnesses will develop in the third season.
According to the brief description of the show, fans of Crane and Mills will get an opportunity to witness their much-loved characters sharing more screen space in season three. For the moment, it also said that the two will have to come across more challenges in the upcoming sequel, reported Cross Map.
But earlier actor Mison had stated that the supernatural series will no longer revolve around Crane’s family drama. So it is yet to be seen how the venture between the two witnesses take a stride forward in season three.
There is also murmurs that fans can anticipate various interesting storylines in the new season as it will be directed by “The Glades” fame Clifton Campbell. .
The official synopsis writes, “The jaw-dropping conclusion of Season 2 left Ichabod Crane and Lieutenant Abbie Mills with a decisive, albeit heartbreaking, victory over evil. In the name of good, Crane made the ultimate decision to kill his wife, Katrina Crane. With evil seemingly at bay, the third season will explore how the partnership between Crane and Mills will evolve and what challenges these two witnesses will now face.”
