New Characters Announced for AHS: Freak Show

Sarah Paulson’s revelation of her anticipated character in American Horror Story called for headlines and major tweets from social networking sites few weeks ago. Now, the horror tv series kept the ball rolling by recently announcing new casts for the coming fourth season this fall.

Michael Chiklis is making his debut to Fx’s series American Horror Story alongside residing actors that include Emma Thompson, Jessica Lange, and Sarah Paulson, among others. According to executive producer Ryan Murphy, Chiklis will portray a strong man who’s married to Angela Bassett’s character.

Murphy said in an interview, “He has scenes with Angela and Jessica Lange and (onscreen ex) Kathy Bates,” Murphy added. “I love the part because it’s really written to be quite vulnerable, which is something I think Michael does so well – the strong man who’s vulnerable. I’m very excited to see him tussle with all those great ladies. And he’s really up for it, really excited about it.”

Major Character’s Last Appearance

Meanwhile, season four will be veteran actress Jessica Lange’s last season with the series, but the new season will also see the return of Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Denis O’Hare and Taissa Farmiga, among many more.

Lange told the Los Angeles Times, “I am coming to the end of acting.” She added, “I want to go out with a bang or should I say, a scare.”

The fourth season of the dark and grim world of American Horror Story will soon hit the tube and Ryan Murphy with the rest of the production team of American Horror Story freakshow have been keeping major details under wraps.

Other Casts Roles

American Horror Story Freakshow will cast a role for Larry, who E! News describes as an “extremely, extremely tall man,” and a “gentle giant” named Bobby. Another role to be casted is of Sammy, who will require special effects prosthetics.”

Angela Bassett, who is again cast this season after playing a witch in season 3’s Coven, talked about her role in the upcoming Freakshow season. “It’s going to be tough, tough, tough to surpass Marie Laveau, it really is. She was truly a special phenomenon,” said Basset, reminiscing how well-put and freaky her character development was in the past season.

“All Ryan has told me is I’m not the bearded lady, but he said, “Oh it’s better! It’s even better than that!” added the actress, confirming that she will not play a bearded lady. Basset also joked that she hopes she will not have a common and boring character. “I hope I’m not the ticket taker!” she quipped.

Jamie Brewer, Gabourey Sibide, Frances Conroy and Emma Roberts are up for next season, but no details on their particular character are known yet.
