American Horror Story season 4 is already in the works, as pillars of the show are already claiming that AHS’s fourth season will surely deliver beyond expectations.
The 4th installment of FX’s hit horror series is entitled Freak Show. We already know that the suspense series will be about a 1950s Florida freak show ran a German ex-pat who will be played by none other than Jessica Lange, who was desperately trying to save the last of the freak shows. Denis O’Hare will be returning playing the role of Lange’s nemesis, simply put, the collector of freaks.
Since signing on with the American Horror Story franchise, Sarah Paulson has played an array of awesome supporting roles. Noticeably, her characters have been less horrific and good to neutral in nature. As spoilers for season four of the FX hit horror series rolls in, we’re learning that Paulson’s newest role may not be as easy and sweet as the previous characters she’s played. That is absolutely exciting, audience would like to squeeze deeper on her characterization and we can’t wait.
So Which Freak Show Icon is it?
So which of the “Freak Show” characters will Paulson be playing? It probably won’t be the bearded lady that Murphy mentioned earlier. So, would it be the camel girl, conjoined twins, contortionist, perhaps a fire dancer? Oh it’s a long list of guesses and possibilities. We heard it from the lady herself, “Oh Boy, it’s not going to disappoint!”I know lots I do know a lot of things I really think people are not going to be disappointed. And, it’s going to be very different than last year in all the best ways.”
While we don’t know exactly what kind of freak Paulson will be playing as of yet, we’re sure whatever her role it will match the dark theme of the series, which Murphy recently revealed would be more Gothic than ever. Like what he said, “I just love it. It feels really right. I thought it was going to be light but it’s turning out to be quite terrifyingly dark, which it feels much more like the Asylum season. But look – if you have a character named the Clown Killer, it’s going to be dark,” he said.
American Horror Story: Freak Show is expected to return to FX sometime in the fall. While we probably have seen a lot variation on the freak show in many movies, it’s electrifying to witness their own version of it.
Lead Characters to Ditch the Casting
Recently, reports that two lead actors of the show not returning in the upcoming fourth season surfaced. Hollywood Hills reports that Taissa Farmiga who played Zoe in Coven is quite busy filming her new horror comedy movie entitled The Final Girls, and will cause conflict with the AHS ongoing production schedule.
Another lead actor of the hit FX series, who is also very unlikely to return and join the show in its fourth run is Lily Rabe. She portrayed Misty Day in Coven. Her lead role in ABC’s new alien drama series The Whisperers is seen as a possible nuisance on her involvement with AHS.
Since the final casting has not been officially released, there still a chance that we will be seeing these familiar faces on the show.
